Getting Started

How do I add my first supplement?

To add a supplement:

  1. Tap the "+" button on the Home screen
  2. Search for your supplement by name or scan the barcode
  3. Select the supplement from search results
  4. Enter the dosage and timing
  5. Tap "Log" to save

You can also create custom supplements if yours isn't in our database yet.

How does barcode scanning work?

Our barcode scanner uses your phone's camera to identify supplements:

  1. Tap "Scan Barcode" when adding a supplement
  2. Point your camera at the barcode on the supplement bottle
  3. Wait for the scan to complete (usually 1-2 seconds)
  4. If found, the supplement details will auto-populate

Note: Not all supplements are in our database yet. If scanning doesn't work, try searching by name or use AI Vision to scan the label.

What is AI Vision and how do I use it?

AI Vision uses artificial intelligence to read supplement labels and extract nutrition information automatically.

How to use it:

  1. Go to Supplements → AI Vision
  2. Take photos of: Front label, Nutrition Facts panel, Suggested Use instructions
  3. Our AI analyzes the images and extracts all nutrient information
  4. Review and save the supplement to your library

This is perfect for supplements not in our database or when you want detailed nutrient breakdowns.

Supplement Stacks

How do I create a supplement stack?

Supplement stacks are pre-configured groups of supplements you take together:

  1. Go to Stacks → Create Stack
  2. Name your stack (e.g., "Morning Energy", "Post-Workout")
  3. Add supplements to the stack
  4. Set the time of day you take this stack
  5. Save and log the entire stack with one tap

Free users: Can create up to 3 stacks
Pro users: Unlimited stacks

Can I share my stack with friends?

Yes! You can export and import stacks:

  1. Open a stack → Tap "Share"
  2. Copy the stack code or share link
  3. Your friend can import it by tapping "Import Stack" and pasting the code

This is great for sharing routines with workout partners, family, or clients.

Premium Features

How do I upgrade to SuppaLog Pro?

To upgrade:

  1. Go to Settings → SuppaLog Pro
  2. Choose Monthly ($4.99) or Annual ($49.99)
  3. Complete purchase through your App Store account
  4. Pro features unlock immediately

Pro benefits:

  • Unlimited supplement stacks
  • Advanced analytics and insights
  • AI-powered chat for personalized advice
  • Priority customer support
  • Data export in multiple formats

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple/Google, not SuppaLog:

For iPhone/iPad:

  1. Open Settings → Tap your name → Subscriptions
  2. Find SuppaLog Pro → Tap to manage
  3. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions
  2. Find SuppaLog Pro → Tap to manage
  3. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll retain Pro features until the end of your billing period.

Data & Privacy

How do I export my data?

You can export all your supplement data anytime:

  1. Go to Settings → Export Data
  2. Choose format: JSON (complete) or CSV (spreadsheet-friendly)
  3. Tap "Export" → Share via email, save to files, or other apps

Your export includes all logs, supplements, stacks, and health data.

How do I delete my account?

To permanently delete your account and all data:

  1. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  2. Confirm you want to delete (this cannot be undone)
  3. Enter your password to verify
  4. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days

Important: This deletes all logs, supplements, and settings. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy.

Is my health data private and secure?

Yes! We take privacy seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • We use Row Level Security to ensure only you can access your data
  • We never sell your data or use it for advertising
  • You can export or delete your data anytime
  • We're GDPR compliant

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not working properly

If you're experiencing crashes or bugs:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version (check App Store for updates)
  2. Force quit the app and reopen it
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check your internet connection
  5. If the problem persists, contact us at hello@suppalog.app with details

Please include: Device model, OS version, app version, and steps to reproduce the issue.
